HUNT OF A LIFETIME

About 5 years ago, while doing the Central Oregon Sportsman’s Show in Redmond Oregon, I was approached by Danny Benson from Hunt of a Lifetime. He asked me if I had worked with any organizations for kids. I have worked with many groups , donating time, money and hunts for various causes but, most of them were hunting organizations, SCI, GOABC, North American Moose Foundation etc, but never for just a group for kids. Danny then went on to explain that these were not just kids but they were very special kids, kids or young people with medical issues, sometimes very serious medical issues that want to have a trip of a lifetime and were not able to for various reasons. If you have been fortunate enough to go on a guided hunt with a Professional Guide Outfitter you will know how passionate they are about a lot of things, wildlife, horses and kids and anything that is not right will almost if not bring even the toughest of us to tears. Well Danny had me all choked up and I couldn’t wait to get started working with this group.Since that day we have donated a number of hunts, either 100% or at a much reduced rate to get these very special young people on a hunting trip they will never forget. It is by far the most rewarding adventure we (my family) have ever embarked on. The kids are truly some of the best people I have ever met , and thank god that we are able to share what we have with these very special kids to give them “The Hunt of A Lifetime”
